Inspire the Next Generation of Drummers

The National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland (NYPBS) is seeking a Lead Drumming Facilitator to shape and deliver its national drumming programme.

What does this role involve?

This project-based role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the musical direction of drumming within NYPBS, working with young people aged 10–25 from across Scotland. The successful candidate will help create an ambitious, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment through high-quality tuition, creative repertoire development, and performance preparation.

Working closely with the wider NYPBS team, the Lead Drumming Facilitator will oversee programme delivery, scoring, resources, sectional tuition, and ensemble preparation, while also collaborating with guest tutors and freelancers to enrich the participant experience.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and passionate drummer with strong teaching and leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to youth development through music.

The role runs from August 2026 to January 2027 on a flexible part-time basis, with key ensemble dates and performances throughout the term.
